Support Refugee Resettlement in Dallas – Donate Gently-Used or New Furniture to World of Goods!

Support Refugee Resettlement in Dallas by Donating Gently-Used Furniture and Household Items to World of Goods! Every year, Catholic Charities of Dallas resettles over 500 refugees who have fled their homes to escape war, persecution, or grave danger. We provide resettlement, employment, and education services to help our clients, so that they become independent and self-sufficient. In addition to the services offered by Refugee & Empowerment Services,  our World of Goods Resale Store provides  furniture and household donations to set-up apartments for newly arriving families and individuals. Since they arrive with few pieces of clothing, store vouchers allow them to purchase additional clothes and accessories.

You can help provide a great start and warm welcome to refugees when you:

  • Donate furniture, appliances, household items, clothing, and vehicles (cars/trucks)
  • Volunteer as a sales clerk, donation assistant, or social media assistant!
  • Shop at the store in person (10675 Northwest Hwy) or on eBay (www.ccdallas.org/ebay) for unique treasures

Support from the generous community has become crucial for the store to maintain its ability to serve those in need in the community.  So, please donate your new and gently used furniture and household goods today – and make a difference in the community! WOG also offers donation pick-ups, mostly for larger items or furniture.  To schedule a pick-up, simply call the store at 214-342-8231. If you are interested in volunteering to help set-up apartments, teach English, or work in our resale store, please contact Dana Bacallado at 214-553-9909 ext. 112 or dbacallado@ccdallas.org.  Thank you!
